Introduction

Low temperature air-cooled water chiller is used to cool the heating parts of the equipment and promote the normal operation of the equipment under low temperature. It can be used in spindle cooling, CNC machine tools, sand mills, reaction kettles, welding machines, cutting machines and other equipment. The temperature can be adjusted to minus 60 degrees, minus 30 degrees, minus 15 degrees, etc.



Principle

Low temperature air-cooled water chiller: the low pressure refrigerant gas after evaporation and cooling by the compressor is cooled by the condenser and converted into normal temperature liquid, and then is throttled into low temperature and low pressure wet steam through the expansion valve, which flows into the evaporator. Because evaporation is a heat absorption process, the solution (tank liquid) in the evaporator will be cooled, so as to realize the cooling of the equipment (pipeline) being cooled and complete a cycle process.

Direct Freezing and Indirect Freezing

According to the cooling type of evaporator, it can be divided into direct freezing and indirect freezing. The direct freezing of low temperature air-cooled chiller has the same effect as the indirect freezing, but it is obviously safer than the direct freezing, and the latter is easy to corrode and has a shorter service life. The price of direct freezing equipment is slightly superior, but the service life of indirect freezing chiller is longer than that of direct freezing chiller. The use of direct or indirect freezing chiller shall be determined according to the industry and the nature of cooling solution.

For example, in the cooling of micro arc oxidation equipment, the cooling of alkaline solution is generally direct cooling. On the evaporator material of the chiller, the titanium tube evaporator is specially customized, which is corrosion resistant, and achieves a high cooling effect. For indirect cooling, coils are usually installed at the bottom of the water tank to cool the chilled water from the chiller. The solution and chilled water do not contact directly to avoid corrosion. It is generally used in electroplating and food industries.



Four Features of Air Cooled Low Temperature Chiller

1. The COP efficiency of the low temperature air-cooled chiller is low, about 2.6-3.3. According to the industrial needs, it can be used for refrigeration or heating. Generally, it is used more in laboratories and small production lines.

2. The COP efficiency of water-cooled chiller is relatively high, about 4-5.5, which is used for industrial process cooling and large-scale construction projects.

3. Compared with water-cooled chillers, air-cooled chillers are just different from condensers. Low temperature air-cooled chillers lose heat directly through fans, while water-cooled chillers take away heat from condensers through cold water and dissipate heat through cooling towers.

4. Water cooled chillers can only be used for refrigeration, and other heating equipment is required for heating.
