Attention to the use of cross-flow cooling towers
Cross-flow cooling tower, the official explanation is that the water flow falls vertically from the upper part of the tower, the air flows horizontally through the water-spraying filler, and the air flow and the water flow are orthogonal to the cooling tower. In layman's terms, it is a cooling tower where the airflow and the water flow intersect directly. So what are the design and selection points of the cross-flow cooling tower and the precautions for its use?
Construction and installation points:
1. During the installation of the cooling tower, attention should be paid to fire prevention. It is strictly forbidden to use open flames such as electric welding (or gas cutting) in the tower body and its vicinity, and smoking is not allowed for those present. If an open flame is used, appropriate safety measures should be taken.
2. The foundation of the cooling tower should be kept horizontal, the pillars are required to be perpendicular to the base surface, and the height difference of each base surface should not exceed ±1mm. The allowable deviation of the center distance is ±2mm.
3. When the tower body is assembled, the bolts should be tightened symmetrically, and it is not allowed to forcibly twist the installation, and there must be no water leakage or air leakage after assembly.
4. The foot of the cooling tower and the embedded steel plate of the foundation need to be directly positioned and welded, and the embedded steel plate should be level and firm.
5. During transportation and storage of cooling tower parts, no heavy objects are allowed on them, and no exposure to the sun is allowed, and open flames should be paid attention to.
6. The cooling tower inlet and outlet pipes and supplementary water pipes should be provided with separate pipe brackets to avoid transferring the weight of the pipes to the tower body.
7. Fan blades should be properly kept to prevent deformation. Motors and transmission parts should be oiled and stored indoors.
8. To prevent debris from entering the nozzle and orifice, it should be carefully cleaned before assembly.
9. After the cooling tower is installed, the pipes, packing surfaces, water collecting trays and other dirt and relics in the tower should be cleaned, and the system should be cleaned.
