What is a water cooling water tower?

 

The cooling tower is a device that uses water as a circulating coolant to absorb heat from a system and discharge it into the atmosphere to reduce the temperature of the water; its cooling is to use water and air to exchange heat and cold to generate steam, and the volatilization of the steam takes away the heat to achieve evaporation. The principle of heat dissipation, convective heat transfer and radiation heat transfer is to dissipate the waste heat generated in the industry or refrigeration and air conditioning to reduce the water temperature of the evaporative heat dissipation device to ensure the normal operation of the system.

 

How is the water cooling tower work?

 

The cooling water with heat is exchanged with the air in the tower, so that the heat is transferred to the air and dissipated into the atmosphere. One of the heat exchange methods between water and air in the cooling tower is that the air flowing over the water surface is in direct contact with the water, and the heat in the water is transferred to the air through contact heat transfer and evaporative heat dissipation. Cooling in this way is called a wet cooling tower. The heat exchange efficiency of the wet cooling tower is high, and the limit temperature of the water being cooled is the wet bulb temperature of the air. However, water loss is caused by evaporation; evaporation increases the salinity of the circulating cooling water. In order to stabilize the water quality, part of the water with higher salinity must be drained; wind blowing will also cause water drift loss. Sufficient fresh water must be continuously replenished. Therefore, the wet cooling tower needs a water source for supplying water.

 

In water-deficient areas, dry cooling towers can only be used when it is difficult to replenish water. The heat exchange between air and water in the dry cooling tower is to transfer heat through the surface of the radiator composed of metal tubes, and transfer the heat of the water in the tube to the air flowing outside the radiator. The heat exchange efficiency of the dry cooling tower is lower than that of the wet cooling tower, and the limit temperature of cooling is the dry bulb temperature of the air. The one-time investment of these devices is large, and the fan energy consumption is high.

 

Application of cooling tower

 

The process of cooling water in a cooling tower is a heat and mass transfer process. The cooled water is distributed to the inner packing of the cooling tower by a nozzle, a water distributor or a water distribution plate, which greatly increases the contact area between the water and the air. Air is circulated by the induced effect of fans, forced air, natural wind or jets.

 

Cooling towers are mainly used in air-conditioning cooling systems, refrigeration series, injection molding, tanning, foaming, power generation, steam turbines, aluminum profile processing, air compressors, industrial water cooling and other fields. . The specific division is as follows:

 

A. Air temperature regulation categories: air conditioning equipment, cold storage, cold storage room, freezer, heating and cooling air conditioning, etc.;

2.Water Distributor

What is the water distributor of the cooling tower?


The cooling tower rotor, also known as the cooling tower water distributor, is also called the cooling tower universal head. It is an important part of the counterflow circular cooling tower sprinkler system. It is located above the cooling tower filling and connected to the cooling tower. The central water pipe and the sprinkler pipe of the cooling tower.


The water distributor is an indispensable part of the cooling tower. The water distributor must first have a spray effect, and the more uniform the better:


Before the water distributor sprays the cooling water, the cooling water of the cooling tower will enter the water distributor through the cooling water inlet pipe, the water distributor will distribute the water, and then spray through the spray holes of the water distributor. To achieve the most uniform water distribution, coupled with the role of filler, can maximize the working efficiency of the water distributor, improve the heat dissipation effect of the cooling water tower, and then improve the heat dissipation effect of the entire cooling tower, and finally improve the cooling effect. 3.Sprinkler

Sprinkler function: increase the sprinkling area and divert flow. The cooling water flows into the sprinkling pipe through the water inlet pipe, and then forms a water flow through the spray holes on the sprinkling pipe, and sprinkles on the packing of the cooling tower. Because the diameter of the nozzle hole is relatively small, the water flow has a certain speed. According to the principle of action force and reaction force, the sprinkler pipe is rotated by the force opposite to the direction of the water flow, so that the water flow is continuously distributed to the packing of the cooling tower.

Cooling tower installation steps

 

1. Pre-select an appropriate installation site

 

When installing the cooling tower, pay attention to its load and ventilation conditions.

 

2. Prefabricated cement foundation and installation of water tower support frame

 

According to the recommendations of the manual, prefabricate the foundation of concrete or steel frame, and then assemble the bottom basin support frame of the water tower into a circular frame shape, and the level must be uniform.

 

3. Install water tower sink and basin bottom

 

The sink is placed on the central foundation, the periphery of the basin is supported on the bottom frame, and the inner circle of the basin is fixed on the flange surface of the sink.

 

4. Install the central throat, the central throat clamp and the body support frame

 

The central throat should be installed vertically on the throat curve of the sink, then install the central throat clip, and then install the surrounding bracket.

5. Install the heatsink bracket and heatsink film

 

Connect the heat sink bracket to the central throat clip, but it must be horizontal and vertical. After verifying that each piece is well connected, all screws can be tightened, and then put into the combined heat dissipation film.

6. Install the enclosure and the ladder

 

Place the enclosure body on the body bracket, then assemble and tighten the screws around the heat sink, and then install the ladder at the pre-designated position.

 

7. Install sprinklers, pipe hangers and sprinkler pipes

 

Install the sprinkler head on the top of the central throat pipe, then put the pipe hanger on the top of the sprinkler head, and then push the sprinkler pipe horizontally into the sprinkler head. It should be installed backward at 10 degrees from the vertical line (during operation, the final adjustment angle should be made according to the needs, please refer to the recommended rotation speed in the manual)

 

8. Install the motor, motor frame and fan

 

Install the motor frame horizontally on the top of the casing, then put the motor and reducer, and then add the fan combination, and finally add the fan net. Note that for water towers below GL-80T, the motor, motor frame and fan must be assembled in advance before being installed on the top of the cooling tower.

 

9. Seal the seam between the water basin and the enclosure

 

Since the water tower is a multi-combination type, after the installation is completed, it is necessary to seal the gap with the prepared fiber drop sauce.

 

10. Install overflow, float combination and filter screen

 

Place the overflow device, the floating ball combination and the filter screen in the preset place, and wrap the hose tape at the joint of the throat and teeth.


Regular blowdown of the cooling tower mainly refers to cleaning the silt, moss and corrosion products of the cooling tower water tray, reducing the weight of the water tray itself, avoiding blockage of the return water pipe, reducing the turbidity rate of the circulating water, and strengthening the refrigeration effect of the cooling tower. Therefore, regular sewage discharge is very important, let's take a look at the specific implementation method together!


For users who mainly use groundwater or tap water, because the hardness of the circulating water medium is relatively high, it is recommended to add detergents and other drugs regularly to avoid scaling of circulating water; for users who use river water or other circulating water, it is recommended to add algae killers regularly Drugs to avoid the growth of algae and moss.


The correct cleaning method for cleaning the cooling tower can be carried out according to the following steps:


1. Clean up the sediment, scale, silt, and long moss in the cooling tower, and then use the cleaning water gun to clean the fan, sprinkler, packing, tray, outlet tank and outlet filter of the water tower.


2. After the above parts are cleaned, start the circulating water pump, put cleaning agent and bactericidal algicide in the cooling tower, control the pH value of the water between 5.5 and 6.0, and remove the rust and algae in the equipment pipeline .


3. After cleaning the cooling tower, close the upper drain valve, reopen the water supply valve, and fill the cooling tower with water. At the same time, open the connecting valve of the cooling tower to adjust the water level of the connecting tower to balance to avoid overflow.



The user's industry is different, and the temperature of the water outlet of the machine is also different. With the cooling tower, the heat in the water from the machine can be continuously taken away. If the heat dissipation effect of the cooling tower is not good, the operation effect of the machine will definitely be greatly reduced.
