Composition and Working Principle of Marine Screw Chiller
Marine screw water chiller is mainly composed of semi closed screw compressor, shell and tube condenser, drying filter, thermal expansion valve, shell and tube evaporator, electrical control, seawater anti-corrosion treatment and other parts.


During refrigeration of the unit, the compressor sucks the low temperature and low pressure refrigerant in the evaporator into the cylinder. After the compressor works, the refrigerant vapor is compressed into high temperature and high pressure gas,
It enters the condenser through the exhaust pipe. The refrigerant gas with high temperature and pressure exchanges heat with the cooling water in the condenser, transferring heat to the cooling water to take away, and the refrigerant gas condenses into a high-pressure liquid. The high-pressure liquid from the condenser enters the evaporator after throttling and depressurization by the thermal expansion valve. In the evaporator, the low pressure liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat of the chilled water and vaporizes, which cools the chilled water and becomes the required low temperature water. The vaporized refrigerant gas is sucked in again by the compressor for compression and discharged into the condenser. In this way, it circulates continuously, so as to cool the chilled water.
The chilled water from the unit enters the indoor fan coil units, variable air volume air conditioners and other terminal devices, and heat exchange occurs with the convection air indoors. During this process, the temperature of the water rises due to the absorption of the heat of the indoor air (radiating heat to the indoor air), while the temperature of the indoor air decreases after passing through the indoor heat exchanger. Driven by the fan, it is sent into the room, thus reducing the indoor air temperature, The chilled water after the temperature rise will enter the unit again under the action of the water pump, so as to achieve the purpose of continuous refrigeration.
